Sign a year in the making

Seeing the sorry state of the Welcome to Whangaparaoa sign on their daily commute was an ongoing source of frustration for Karen and Keith Browne of NZ Sign Solutions.

The fact that they run a sign print and design company in Silverdale made them even more sensitive to the dilapidated sign and, when they saw a story in Hibiscus Matters in June, 2010 about business owners’ hopes of replacing the sign, they decided to do something about it.

 

Northstar mechanic retires

Passengers of Northstar buses may be unaware that the safety of their ride rested in the very capable hands of mechanic Ron Cope for the past 34 years.
