NZ author judges Warkworth bake-off

Author Robyn Paterson will judge Warkworth’s best baking at a special contest at Summerset Falls on June 25.

Members of the public are encouraged to bring their best scones, muffins or cakes to the inaugural Great Warkworth Bakeoff, which gets underway at the retirement village at 84 Woodcocks Road from 11am.

One-man-bands stomp into Leigh

Christchurch-based one-man-band Stomping Nick and His Blues Grenade, accompanied by fellow one-man-band Boss Christ, New Zealand’s leading exponent of ‘monsterbilly mayhem’, will take the stage at the Leigh Sawmill on June 25.
