Build-up for Rodney Live finale

The home-grown talent show Rodney Live, which toured venues around the district last month, will wind-up with a finale event in Orewa on June 12.

One of the organisers Nick Roberts says the performers are not being judged this year, which means people are doing it just because they love to perform.

Author Robyn Paterson will judge Warkworth’s best baking at a special contest at Summerset Falls on June 25. Members of the public are encouraged to bring their best scones, muffins or cakes to the inaugural Great Warkworth Bakeoff, which gets underway at the retirement village at 84 Woodcocks Road from 11am
