
An organist known as ‘the Pavarotti of the organ’ will play one concert only on the Hibiscus Coast next month.
The concert is part of Carlo Curley’s first tour of NZ, which will also include playing the new Auckland Town Hall organ.

The Banned hold all age gig
Local covers rock band The Banned hopes to hold regular all-age gigs for youth, and is putting its toe in the water with a first performance at Whangaparaoa Hall this month.
Security is provided and no alcohol will be permitted into the premises. As well as providing an entertainment option for youth, the band is raising funds to purchase a new PA system. The gig is on August 7, at Whangaparaoa Hall, 717 Whangaparaoa Rd, from 7.30pm. Cover charge is $10.
