Student production steals the show

The talents of about 100 students were showcased when Mahurangi College presented Beauty and the Beast last month.

The one-week season involved five performances to appreciative audiences of students, teachers, parents and the wider community. The huge cast of 70 students were drawn from both the junior and senior schools. An additional 30 students made up the production crew.

Wearable art showtime

One of New Zealand’s favourite actors and one of its best known fashion labels will bring more excitement to the runway in this year’s Catwalk Arts show, at Ascension Wine Estate on Friday and Saturday September 3 and 4.

Takatu inspires exhibition

A book launch and an exhibition by local artists will come together at A Fine Line Gallery, in Sharp Road Matakana, on September 24.

Photography workshop

Maritime photographer Paul Gilbert will share his knowledge of digital photography at a workshop in Mangawhai this month.
