Reverend revs up

Bike-blessing-1It’s not often that Harley Davidson motorcycles take pride of place in the car park of Red Beach Methodist Church.

However, a gathering of members of the Redeemed Motorcycle Club on January 29 for a special service by Reverend Ian Hanley drew around 30 bikes, and their owners, to the church.

Community gardens take root

The hard work that Mangawhai community garden coordinator Joan Farrell and her volunteers have put into the community garden, at the Mangawhai Domain, is paying off.

Hospice walk bigger and better

The inaugural Hibiscus Hospice Twilight Walk, which attracted around 300 women last May, is returning next month.
