Our purpose

Staff work hard to produce a newspaper that gives value to both advertisers and readers. We live and work locally, so take a personal interest in the affairs of our district.

We like to get the news first, but it is equally important to get it right.

Reader feedback tells us that they enjoy the paper because of its local content, the articles are relevant and not just media releases, and it is often information that is available nowhere else. The A4 format is also very popular. A newspapers with the shelf-life of a magazine.

We cover the gamut of community issues, from local politics to regular features on gardening, history, financial management, health and well-being, and sport. The Hibiscus district has a vibrant arts community so we are also strong on coverage of exhibitions and events.
