Waipu festival on

Plans are underway for the fifth annual Winter@Waipu Festival in the Bream Bay from June to August.

Popular events such as the Bogwood Productions One Act Plays, Winter Race Days at Ruakaka, National Poetry Day, Matariki celebrations and the International Tartan Day will be returning. There are several new initiatives in the planning stage including a new Waipu Family Market, which organises hope to grow into a weekly market in the summer. But organiser Rosemary Neave says there is room for more events.
