Meetings discuss who pays for developmentA public meeting will be held in Warkworth on January 29 to discuss a proposal by Rodney District Council to introduce a new development contributions policy, as part of its Long Term Council Community Plan 2009-19.
Council believes the proposed changes are necessary to ensure Rodney receives adequate funding to provide the needed bulk infrastructure in areas designated for development. Infrastructure funding manager John Hall says more details about the Council’s proposed development contributions policy are available at www.rodney.govt.nz. “As part of Council’s on-going commitment to public consultation, a series of public meetings to discuss what is proposed has been arranged,” Mr Hall says. The meetings will be held as follows: • Warkworth Masonic Hall on January 29 • Helensville Service Centre on February 2 • Orewa Offices – Council Chambers on February 3 All meetings will run from 5pm to 7pm. |
