Mangawhai Artists’ Association Winter workshopsThe workshop covered working with three-dimensional textures using found objects, metallic paints and various modelling pastes. This month’s workshop is a drawing course with a difference covering anthroposophical art, an art form practised by Rudolf Steiner. Local artist and glass worker Paulene Mann will tutor the workshop on Sunday, July 19, from 9am-3pm. August’s one-day workshop will be in soft stone sculpture with local sculptor Joy Agar. Soft stone carving is the art of carving the block while the compound is firm but not set hard. The sculptures can be used indoors or outdoors, and will be completed on the day. Workshops are open to members and non-members. Info: Jan Grover on 431 4649. Enjoying the multimedia workshop are Penny Goodall, left, and Ann Bolton. |
