Mangawhaibeach and country maret sets up in Domain

Organisers of a new market in Mangawhai have been overwhelmed by the response from stallholders.

Maria Northin and Sue Martin say they have had enquiries from as far away as Whangarei for the first market on Sunday, October 25. The venue will be the Mangawhai Domain and already 50 to 60 stallholders have been booked.

“The domain is such a great venue which is under-utilised,” Maria says. “This market will complement the two that already operate in Mangawhai and will give market people more trading days.”

As well as the usual market fare – local produce, art, jewellery, clothing, and home baking – there will also be live entertainment, merry-go-round, car boot sales and other family entertainment.

Community organisations are being invited to be involved by taking a stall free-of-charge to promote their activities.

Future markets will be held on November 22 and December 20; and there will be two market days in January and February; with the final market day for the season marked down for Easter.

Enquiries for stalls or car boot places, phone Maria on 431 2087 or Sue on 027 694 4480.
