Ever been curious about a product, but unable to get past the salesman to try it out?
A farmer roadshow will pull into Kaiwaka and Whangarei this month, aimed at giving farmers an opportunity to test-drive the latest releases of farm soft and hardware.
Livestock Improvement (LIC) farm systems general manager Rob Ford says the roadshow is designed to give farmers a personal experience of some of our new innovations.
“We’re going to regional centres so it’s easy for farmers to attend, and the style of the roadshow is aimed at making it easy for them to experiment with the new gear,” he says.
“Farmers will be able to get their hands on some of the latest technology breakthroughs in farm technology such as:
- the EID wand used to link a cow’s electronic ear tag with her milk sample during herd testing
- the new MINDA Mobile device providing farmers with the ability to call up individual cow and herd information when it’s needed
- latest DNA analysis
- latest breakthroughs in farm automation
All events begin at 10.30am and finish at 2pm. The roadshow will be at the Kaiwaka Rugby Clubrooms on April 13 and at the Fonterra Jordan Valley Farm Conference Room, in Whangarei, on April 14.
