Women in the dairy industry will be given tips and tools to take charge of their financial planning, during a workshop in Whangarei this month.
The Building Your Farm Budget workshop will be run by the Dairy Womens Network. It is one in a series of seminars designed to provide dairying women with the skills and knowledge to create a budget and cashflow, review their cash situation, and benchmark their business against others.
Network general manager Lynda Clark says the value that budgeting can add to a farmer’s business can’t be ignored, especially when it comes to making informed decisions. “It doesn’t have to be complicated,” she says.
Guest speaker will be former rural banking manager and ex-farm consultant Rebecca Rowe, who has a wide range of experience in the agricultural sector, particularly in the area of financial analysis and budgeting.
