Property data at your fingertips

Search for in-depth property information in Rodney just got easier with the release of an interactive online GIS (Geographic Information Systems) viewer.

The easy-to-use viewer can provide maps, high-quality aerial photography, contours, underground services and rates information for all properties in Rodney, which accounts for 46 percent of the total land in Auckland. Limited GIS information for the rest of the Auckland region is also available through the service.

Council’s GIS manager Neville Perrie says in addition, users can access information such as property and electoral boundaries, buildings and Google Maps Street View imagery.

The website was developed as part of a joint venture between staff at the Auckland Regional Council and the Rodney District Council, and can be viewed at http://rdcmaps.auckland.govt.nz/.
