Rodney College squash champion Brittany Gibbons has set her sights on a national A grade ranking and a place in a NZ representative team. Currently ranked sixth in NZ, in the girls under 19 section, she will be training over summer for the NZ Junior Open Championships in April.

Student out shoots the best

There are few young women participating in silhouette shooting in NZ, let alone winning national championships. But Mahurangi College student Elizabeth Murphy, 15, isn’t intimidated by the fact that she is normally competing against men some of whom are a lot older than her.

Anniversary rekindles Kawau connections

Sixty yachts symbolically celebrated the Kawau Island Yacht Club’s 60th anniversary on November 12 with a regatta that tested competitors with a range of conditions.
