Top surf volunteer up for further award

Dylan Turner’s hard work for Red Beach Surf Lifesaving Club was rewarded last month with a win in the Northern Region Awards of Excellence (HM August 16).

He is now the only local finalist in the national Awards of Excellence, to be held this weekend on September 23.

Every year, national and local awards are given to Surf Life Saving members to officially recognise them for their hard work and dedication to saving lives and preventing drowning on New Zealand’s beaches.
