Profile
The Vintage Car Club of NZ was established in 1946 and its aim is to preserve, restore and enjoy the old vehicles which form our rich motoring heritage.
It caters for all cars, trucks and motorcyles over 30 years old and Club-eligible vehicles.
This branch of the Club was formed in Wellsford in 1979 but as the membership in Warkworth grew the Club shifted south and added Warkworth to its name. Our Clubhouse is the former Visitor Centre at the Satellite Station, which is to the east of SH1 and a short distance south of Warkworth, and we have plenty of parking in a lovely rural setting which we share with the sheep and cows.
We pride ourselves on being a very sociable club, with some of the original members from 1979 still active. We meet for regular Club Night dinners on the second Thursday of each month (except January) and you are welcome to come along to meet the members and see if your would like to join us.
Apart from having rallies and runs over weekends, we also have midweek beach picnics during summer and casual lunches at cafes in the district during winter. You don’t have to own an eligible vehicle to join the Club.
Our Clubhouse is the former Visitor Centre at the Satellite Station on Satellite Station Road, a short distance south of Warkworth and on the eastern side of SH1. We have plenty of parking in a lovely rural setting which we share with the sheep, cows and satellite dishes.
