The Matakantata Choir will be singing a high energy collection of the best love songs from the great musicals including Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story, and, for the first time, A Star is Born.
“Forget the winter chill with a blast of great music. These are songs that will keep you smiling and your feet tapping,” organiser Pete Williams says.
The choir will be directed by Susan Hayday and accompanied by Fiona Strathern on piano.
Concerts will be held at Warkworth Town Hall at 4pm on Sunday, June 16 as well as Matakana Hall at 7.30pm on Saturday, June 22.
Tickets are $20 for adults and gold coin for children. Tickets are available from Harts Pharmacy, Warkworth, or Gull Service Station, Matakana.
