Mahurangi Artist Network is looking for artists to join the annual Mahurangi Artist Studio Trail.

The event invites artists to open their studios, homes or collective spaces to visitors over one or two consecutive weekends in October. The studios and open homes form an art trail, which visitors follow on a downloadable map.

Network spokesperson Alysn Midgelow–Marsden says it’s a great opportunity for artists to meet the public directly and explain how they make their art.

“After the huge success of last year’s Mahurangi Artists Studio Trail, we are seeking more artists and creatives to open their studios to the public and make the trail bigger and better,” she says.

This year the event will take place over Labour weekend (October 23-25) and the following weekend (October 30-31).
