Maygrove a consistent winner

Maygrove Retirement Village in Ōrewa has an ever-growing number of awards in pride of place on its walls.

This month it added the latest accolade from Aged Advisor’s annual awards. The village was runner up in the Best Large Retirement/Lifestyle Village, North Island category.

The award is especially valuable as it reflects the views of residents and their families. Since 2015, AgedAdvisor’s website has showcased more than 8000 reviews from residents and family across more than 770 of the country’s villages and care homes. Each year those reviews and ratings are aggregated for the previous 12 months and a series of algorithms applied to identify the top facilities as rated by reviewers.

Maygrove has been a finalist in the awards every year and won in 2019.

Manager Leonie Knell puts the village’s continued success down to “a well appointed village, a parent company (Hoppers group) with great values, wonderful residents and an exceptional team of caring and hard working staff”.

Maygrove was the only local retirement village to receive an award.

Winner of the Large Village North Island category was Settlers Lifestyle Village in Albany.
