Warkworth Selwyn Centre guests and volunteers celebrated their third anniversary in style with a High Tea last month.
The group of over-65s come together each week for companionship, social activities and light exercise.
Coordinator Laura Lynch says the group has grown from five people to 18. But she knows there are more people in the area who would benefit and wants to invite them to come along and give it a go.
“It’s great when someone new sees people they haven’t seen for years. It’s a nice opportunity to socialise, meet new people and renew old friendships.”
The Selwyn Centre is supported by the Anglican Parish and partly-funded by the Selwyn Foundation.
