The next Bachelor NZ will be Orewa Surf Club's head coach Zac Franich.
The 28-year-old is currently away filming for the series, but will return home before it airs.
His father, Orewa Surf Club's vice president Wayne Franich, says the exposure provided by the show will be great for the area, and the club.
The Bachelor's parents meet the final two contenders, and Wayne says he is looking forward to that.
Zac was born and raised in Orewa and is a competitive kayaker and qualified lifeguard.
