Orewa College wins Stage Challenge

Orewa College won Stage Challenge for the second time in three years at the Aotea Centre last week.

Students were delighted, after months of developing the theme, choreography, music, sets and costumes, and putting in hours of practice.

Last year, Orewa came second to Epsom Girls’ Grammar; this year, Epsom came second.

This year’s theme, ‘Love’, followed the story of a boy building up the courage to ask a girl to dance.

Teacher in charge, Kelly Price, said that the tension in the room as the placings were read out was incredible.

“This is really a credit to the talent and hard work of all the students, staff, parents and ex-students who get behind Stage Challenge every year,” she said.
