Bank robber still at large

Police scoured parts of central Warkworth this afternoon in search of a man who robbed the BNZ on Neville Street sometime around 3pm.
The man is believed to have got away with between $1000 and $1200 after threatening staff with a crowbar.
He was last seen at the bottom of Bertram Street, where he fled into the bush and dropped his trousers, hoodie, gloves and cap.
A police dog and its handler arrived from Ellerslie at 4.30pm, but were unable to find the man.
Police are now hoping to use DNA testing on the man’s clothing to discover his identity.
Anyone who sees suspicious activity is advised to call 111 immediately.
