Cleaners’ poems wanted

Mahurangi cleaners are invited to submit their poems for an anthology to be published by Landing Press. Publisher Adrienne Jansen says the press wants poems by and about cleaners and their work in offices, hospitals, churches, rest homes, airplanes and anywhere else.

“No problem if you’ve never written a poem before, just have a go,” she says.

The maximum length for the poem is 40 lines.

Planning for the anthology began last year. It will be the latest in a series which aims to provide an avenue for people who don’t necessarily have a public voice..
