New metal crash barriers are due to be installed on the sweeping bend where Matakana Road intersects with Anderson and Rosemont Roads – however, Auckland Transport budget cuts have stalled the project for now.
Last month’s Rodney Local Board meeting heard that AT had completed detailed design for the new safety feature, but installation was on hold until available budgets could be confirmed.
