Kidd’s project to give homeless a rest

A project spearheaded by Year 3 Warkworth Primary School student Nate Kidd-Edis will see 13 beds given to homeless people in the Warkworth area for free.

The idea was driven by a need to reduce plastic waste.

The beds are made from crocheted and plaited plastic bags, with a few hundred in each one. Six members of the public volunteered at four bed-making sessions held at the Warkworth Library.

The bags will be distributed by Homebuilders Family Services.
