The new president of Warkworth Rotary, Peter Scott, 63, received the presidential medal of office at a changeover ceremony held at the Bridgehouse on July 12.
Mr Scott, a farmer from Leigh, recalled that he had also been president about nine years ago and his enthusiasm for the organisation remained undiminished.
“I still want to part of this amazing group that does so much not only for this area but for people around the world,” he said.
Mr Scott said he wanted to keep the focus of the club on serving the poor, though he wasn’t going to promise too much at this stage, rather he saw the club as undergoing a period of consolidation.
