Kaipara District Council is proposing to raise the rents on community housing in Fagan Place, Mangawhai, when the units are refurbished and relet.
Council owns 24 pensioner houses on a 2.3 hectare site in Fagan Place.
The proposed rental increase is part of the annual review of fees and charges, with some charges set to rise by 3.3 per cent in the next financial year.
There is no change to dog registration fees, but a correction has been made to the dog owner surcharges. Some new fees have been added such as in dog and stock control and food safety. Some library fees have been removed, including fines for late returns and hire fees for DVDs.
There is a small decrease in the notified consents fee structure to align with neighbouring councils.
Last year Kaipara waived any fee increases as a response to the impact of the Covid-19.
Submissions on the fees and charges must be lodged with council by 5pm on Thursday, April 14.
