Warkworth’s annual Santa Parade is all set to go ahead this year, after a successful search for a new project leader.
Following a recent appeal by the Warkworth Area Business Association in Mahurangi Matters, Sarah Loveridge has volunteered to take over running the event on Saturday December 5.
Sarah grew up in Warkworth and has recently moved back here after living and working in Auckland. Previous Santa Parade manager Nicola Jones says Sarah has a background in project management and will be ideal for the role.
“I’m still going to do all the pre-set up arrangements and Sarah will do the on-the-day management, so together we’ll get things into a good place,” she says.
Local businesses are being urged to start thinking about ideas for their floats, as the parade is just four weeks away.
