School Awards: Otamatea High School

The highest academic prize went to Dux Nina Linnell.


The principal of Otamatea High School, Rachel Clothier-Simmonds, commended students on their academic achievements at the annual  awards night held this month. She said every individual achievement contributed to the collective progress at the school.

“It helps each of us develop our sense of pride in ourselves and the school,” she said. “ I feel incredibly honoured and privileged to see and hear the many accomplishments which our young people are attaining.”

Leaders for 2016 – Head boy, Ashton Coates; head girl, Rita Hames; deputy head boy, Jesper Smyth; deputy head girl, Ruby-Rose Hallamore. More than $60,000 was secured by Year 13 students towards their tertiary studies.
