Town crier Harry Sutcliffe has hung up the cloak and bell after seven years service.
After seven years of loyal service, Warkworth town crier Harry Sutcliffe is moving on.
Harry won’t be calling out the public pronouncements at this year’s Kowhai Festival as he is moving to Kawerau.
Warkworth and District Kowhai Festival Society chair Murray Chapman thanked Harry at a special farewell function.
The committee is now looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to replace Harry as town crier ahead of the 47th annual festival.
