Sunshine, food and entertainment attracted around 300 people to the Matariki Kapa haka Festival last month. The event was held at Rodney College on June 30 and was supported by Te Uri O Hau Settlement Trust, Te Puni Kokiri and the Rodney Local Board. The festival showcased arts including flax weaving, carving, Kapa haka and speeches in Te Reo Maori.
