Motorists trundling through the Johnstones Hill Tunnels may well have caught a glimpse of the CC2800 crawler crane helping to construct the Puhoi to Warkworth motorway.

Fondly nicknamed “T-rex” by project workers, the crane is being used to install girders at the Ōkahu viaduct over the coming weeks. Photo, NZTA.
