The Maungaturoto Country Club is warning dog owners that dogs found in its paddocks will be shot on sight. Seventeen lambs have been killed by dogs this month and the club is calling on neighbours to keep an eye out.
“We don’t want to have to do this, but this is a hideous death for these poor lambs and the distress their mothers are now in is terrible,” the club says.
