Win a Showerdome – with Mahurangi Matters

Use of a shower dome can save householders around $156 a year.

Steamed mirrors, condensation on walls and ceilings, slippery floors and mould are year-round annoying home issues caused by shower steam, which can add significant costs to house upkeep.

Moreover, damp bathrooms are the perfect place for fungus and bacteria to grow, causing health problems.

Showerdome aims to solve these problems by controlling steam and reducing condensation from the bathroom shower, thereby making the house healthier and warmer.

A Showerdome shower top consists of a clear acrylic dome that prevents steam from forming when fitted on top of an existing shower box.

Research by the University of Waikato shows that use of a shower dome  can save householders around $156 a year in electricity, as the dome replaces the need for bathroom fans and towel heaters.
