Auckland Transport has applied for resource consent to squeeze in 127 more car parks at the Silverdale park ‘n’ ride.

The additional parks are to be created within the footprint of the existing site, on the left hand side of the main car park. This will bring the total number of parks, when construction is finished, to 611.

Construction of the busway station is expected to start next January and the estimated completion date for the whole project is now October next year.

Auckland Transport has requested that its application for the additional parks be publicly notified.
