Keeping children occupied as they excitedly await the start of the Orewa New World Santa Parade can be tough for caregivers.

This year, organisers Destination Orewa Beach has introduced the Children’s Fun Circus Zone, which will be on Moana Reserve from 3.30pm until the parade starts at 4.30pm.

Entertainers in the fun zone will demonstrate and teach a range of activities including poi, spinning plates, juggling and hoops.

The parade is on Saturday, November 25, rain or shine. More than 60 floats have entered.

Best viewing is on Hibiscus Coast Highway from the town centre to the Surf Club Car park and around Hillary Square.

The parade will be followed by the Orewa Surf Sounds concert and fireworks.
