Auckland Foundation is calling for funding applications from groups with projects that address social disadvantage, promote health and wellbeing, or strengthen community in the Hibiscus and Bays area.
Last year Riding for the Disabled, based in Stillwater, were one of seven organisations that were supported by the fund’s first round of grants.
The organisation successfully applied for funding towards the purchase of a new therapeutic riding horse, Dream.
Grants are available up to $5000, and will target those predominantly volunteer-run organisations that otherwise don’t get a lot of funding.
