The total retail spend in Warkworth was up 8.2 per cent to just over $53 million during the first quarter of this year, according to a report prepared for One Warkworth Business Association. The total number of transactions increased 8.5 per cent during the same period, with a noticeable increase in shoppers from Auckland south. Overseas shoppers made up just over two per cent of transactions. In March alone, there was strong retail performance with total retail spend up 10.7 per cent compared to March last year.
