Strong field for masters despite Covid

Club captain Rex Ingham presented Michael Toi the first division net trophy.

A 27-hole master mixed open tournament was held at the Wellsford Golf Club this month.

A field of 75 players entered the event despite it having been postponed a week due to Covid-19 alert levels.

The men’s first division gross winner was Michael Anderson, while the first division net winner was Michael Toi.

Second division winners for gross and net were Beau Collis and Craig Radford. The ladies’ gross winner was Fleur Reynolds and the net winner was April Everitt.

The Bob Young Memorial Trophy for best stableford score also went to Craig Radford. This year the major sponsor of the tournament was Mitre 10 Warkworth.
