It’s time for proud parents to start snapping for the annual Plunket Baby Photo Competition, run by The Camera Shop in Warkworth throughout September.
The annual fundraiser is open to any child in Rodney aged under five years and entries cost $5 per photo, with this year’s proceeds going towards a playhouse for Wellsford Plunket Rooms.
Photos can be delivered to The Camera Shop on a camera, phone or USB stick; emailed to photos@thecamerashop.co.nz; or entered online at thecamerashop.co.nz anytime between September 1 and 30. All entries must include the name, age of child and a contact phone number.
There are five separate age categories – Newborn to 1 Year; 1-2 Years; 2-3 Years; 3-4 Years; and 4-5 Years, and every entrant will receive a free enlargement of their photo.
There are three prizes donated by local businesses in each section, including babies’ swimming lessons at Northern Arena, a Thomas & Friends scooter, an Accelor8 bike from The Warehouse, a fishing rod and reel set from Wellsford Sports & Leisure, and a hand-made wooden toy truck from Unique Creations.
The winners will be decided by public vote, when all the entries will be displayed at New World, Warkworth from October 2 to 31.
