A wheelbarrow full of women’s treats is up for grabs in a Mother’s Day raffle being organised by Wellsford Plus and local shops. Tickets cost $2 each, or three for $5, and are available from Woody’s Winners, Wellsford Health & Wellness, Hammer Hardware and Clever Endeavours.
All proceeds raised will go to Wellsford St John for equipment and Wellsford Plus for events. Wellsford Plus has also erected two large painted signs featuring wrapped presents and the words ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ on State Highway 1, at the junction with Centennial Park Road and north of the town near Poland Motors, to encourage people to shop locally for gifts.
