Humminbird fishing competition cancelled

The Auckland Regional Helicopter Trust (ARHT) cancelled its inaugural Humminbird fishing competition earlier this month.

An ARHT spokesperson said it was cancelled due “to a very real potential of it running at cost to the charity”.

“This is of course our number one concern, so the trust and our stakeholders came together and in the best interest of our operation decided to cancel it,” they said.

ARHT had been organising the Humminbird competition to replace the Leigh Fishing Contest, which concluded this year.

They said that everyone should have received a refund, but those who have not can contact eventsmanager@arht.org.nz to organise one.
