More than 90 people gathered to celebrate Rebus Club Orewa’s 30th birthday, with lunch on August 21.

The club started in 1987 as a men only group called the Probus Club of Orewa.

They opened the group up to women in 2008 and the first women member was Marlene Harwood.

This year the club was affiliated to Rebus NZ. Rebus Orewa provides activities for members including regular walks, technology support for cellphones and book club.

Meetings are once a month (with especially good morning teas) and always involve a guest speaker – the last one was Precious McKenzie.  Info: phone Norma Parker 427 5216.
