Walker & Hall jewellery store in the Silverdale Centre was robbed yesterday afternoon, while it was open.
A Police spokesperson says two offenders carrying weapons entered the premises and smashed several of the glass display cabinets containing jewellery.
They took a number of items and fled in a vehicle, which was later found abandoned a short distance away, Police say.
Repairs to those cabinets are currently taking place at the store, which is open for customers collecting items.
