Takatu LandCare is looking for help to get 3000 plants in the ground next month at its annual planting day on Saturday, May 24.

The site is on riverside farmland at 19 Haywood Lane, off Whitmore Road on the Tawharanui Peninsula, and planting will run for three hours from 9.30am, followed by a barbecue lunch.

All welcome, though not recommended for children under seven or anyone with a heart condition. Wear sturdy boots, bring gardening gloves, water, a snack and a spade if you have one.

Please car share if possible.
