Kiwi entertainer Frankie Stevens has become the latest star to shine on the New Zealand Walk of Fame in Ōrewa as part of celebrations marking the walkway’s 15th anniversary.

The event on July 19 was organised by local entrepreneur Gary Brown, who launched the Walk of Fame in 2010, awarding the first star to entertainer Ray Woolf.

Following the unveiling of Stevens’ star, a packed house at Parāoa Brewing Co was treated to a showcase of top New Zealand talent in A Night of Stars.

Stevens, best known for his velvet voice and big-hearted performances, took the stage backed by music legends including guitarist Gray Bartlett and showman Brendan Dugan.

The star-studded lineup also featured Michael Murphy, Chris Powley, the Diamond Divas, and country artist Karen Davy as Stevie Nicks. Donna Clark channelled Christine McVie, while other well-known acts included Roger Skinner, the Mike Walker Trio, Tom Sharplin, Dennis Marsh and Ray Woolf.

The Walk of Fame recognises the contributions of outstanding New Zealand performers across music, film, and television, with each new star embedded into the pavement of Ōrewa Boulevard.
