The Rebound Room is a new low-impact, high-reward workout option now open in Silverdale.
Workouts are performed on a rebounder (mini-trampoline), offering both cardio and strength training benefits and are suitable for all fitness levels.
Owners Tamsin and Gregory Webb moved from South Africa to the Coast last year with their children, drawn by the promise of adventure, better work-life balance, a sense of community, and proximity to the beach. Tamsin, who is also a trainer, has been passionate about rebounding for years. She found it a fun and effective way to stay fit, and loves the versatility – no two classes are alike. Gregory, more involved in the business side, shares the same enthusiasm for supporting others on their fitness journey. He recently began rebounding himself after injuring his back doing crossfit, and says rebounding has been a great way to get back into exercising.
“Once you start, the bug really bites,” he says.
Tamsin encourages anyone who is curious to come along and give it a try — your first session is completely free. The Rebound Room is located in the Setarray building in old Silverdale, next to Burger King and J.A. Russell. There’s plenty of parking available and a warm welcome waiting for anyone ready to bounce into better health and fitness.
Although they’ve only just opened, their goals are already clear. They aim to make the space inclusive for everyone, starting with morning classes, with a wider availability of times to follow. They eventually want to offer specialised sessions for schools, retirees, corporate groups, and private hire.
