During October, nearly 300kms of unsealed roads were graded, 1146 potholes repaired and 887 cubic metres of metal strengthening was completed in Kaipara. In a works update to Kaipara District Council on November 19, councillors were told that rehabilitation work has started on Mangawhai Road (pictured) and sealing was planned before Christmas. Reseals have also started on Kai Iwi Lakes Road with 8600sqm sealed in the first shift of the season.
